I went out to the studio yesterday hoping to start work. However the water pipe into the studio had come away from the back of the tap. Fortunately the water had been turned off at the house. Only discovered the problem when I opened the door, having turned the tap on as I left the house. I can run quite fast when I have to! I now have a very clean studio floor but no work done.
RG_EX2010 relaunch
I have just heard that the postponed opening for the RG_EX2010 exhibition at the Bluematchbox Gallery will be on Friday 15th 7-9pm. Let’s hope we don’t get another dump of snow!
Elephants!
The planned trip to visit my Mum in Cambridge has been postponed so I have some spare time. I have started work on some drawings from Rachel and Pete’s honeymoon photos - elephants from Tanzania- for their new home. I am using charcoal on a gesso textured paper and hope they work as well as ‘Charge!’ It’s a rather messy process!
New Year, New Pots!
Bluematchbox Gallery in Tilehurst is beginning 2010 with an exhibition of work by potters living/working in the RG postcode area. The pots I am exhibiting were finished just before Christmas glazing in a studio with snow outside and frozen pipes inside!
